Sails Away, Sails Away, Sails Away.

If it pours when it rains, we're in a veritable waterfall of spectacular new shit coming from our couchy favorites. We'll dive into this at another time that isn't 9:12 on a coffeeless heatwave morning, but going off of Hooray For Earth's brand new video for the haunting, entrancing "Sails" which just premiered on NPR, we are in for some serious Grade A goodness around these parts.

Coming from a band who created the best music video of all time ever, this one's just as much of a completely mysterious must-watch-'til-the-end mindfuck, but in a whole new way. We knew we adored these fellas, but they're giving us serious reason to have "How Deep Is Your Love" stuck in our heads every time we think of them.

Which, now that I think about it, may not be such a good thing.

In Which We Further Express Our Love For A Former Couch-Dwelling Band

Holy CHRIST. This video is better than every episode of Lost combined, and not just because it has the one thing they couldn't cram into those smoke-filled, plane-crashing, cuckoo time traveling hours of lore — phenomenal music. (The other thing missing: more boobs. Why didn't that show have more boobs?! They were on an ISLAND for God's sake. AN ISLAND. I don't understand.)

Part of me wants to scrawl down the URL, put it in an envelope and send it to that Lindelof fellow to show him how it's done — with, natch*, a PS asking for those fifty hours of my life back — but the post office is so far away, and I'd rather just sit here watching this on repeat.

Also, does a tiny part of you also hope that's the guy from Married With Children as much as I do? So it's not just me who wishes he and Christina Applegate had reversed success. Cue sigh of relief.

*(I don't think this is the way the word "natch" is supposed to be used, but who caaaares it's all goooood let's just go with ittttt.)

Killer Tofu, Killer Show.

Hey, party people. Or should we say, office chair-ridden, email-sending, blackberry-stressing people, since that's what we are now that we're back in the ol' swing of things.

The days of wearing cutoffs and eating animal parts slathered in BBQ sauce and walking past Isaac Hanson and Andrew WK on the same block within the same 90 seconds have been replaced by the ever-evil routines of early morning alarms and laundromats and office duties that are a far cry from "day parties", unless you count the walk to the deli to go get bean soup a party. (Which, frankly, depending on the selection, I sometimes do).

We've got more SXSW sessions to push into your eyeballs and eardrums, but for now, here's a couple of videos from the KILLER TOFU acts that performed on our outdoor stage on that fateful night. And, speaking of, big thankaroonies to I Guess I'm Floating for being the best blog co-collaborators we could have asked for. The fiesta was unreal, and people waited in a line to get in like it was Rollercoaster Tycoon or something! Without them, I wouldn't have seen the insanity of Gobble Gobble and holyshit, was it madness.
