Couch Session #17 - Twin Sister
While shooting on a hot day, our glasses filled with wine,
homemade veggie sushi finished just in time,
it seem like these five could have been our friends forever,
rolling down hills, riding bikes, exploring together.
There's a youthful cheer to them, so warm and kind,
aided by instruments reminiscent of a markedly different time.
Keyboards like the ones i used as a child,
plunking down on the yellow drum buttons, going hog wild.
And a tape deck spinning medical notes in detail,
of which I prefer not to know what it fully entailed.
Quiet, powerful and stunning all the same,
their music is reminiscent of something i just can't quite name.
Familiar with its romantic soothe and heartfelt tone,
it conjures up somewhere that i've surely known.
Whatever it is will come to me eventually, I'm sure,
what memory it strikes a chord with will be at some time conjured,
Til' then, I'll watch these videos of them in our room,
And give you some acoustic Twin Sister to consume:
